10TH INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC AND PRACTICAL CONFERENCE DEDICATED TO THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF MYKOLA HRYHOROVYCH CHUMACHENKO: ACCOUNTING, CONTROL, AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
On April 10, 2025, the Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University hosted the 10th International Scientific and Practical Conference titled "Accounting, Control, and Taxation on the Path to Post-War Recovery of Ukraine and the Achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals."
The event was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the prominent scholar, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Mykola Hryhorovych Chumachenko — one of the founders of the national scientific school of accounting in Ukraine.
The conference brought together leading Ukrainian scholars, including Academicians of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Valerii Mykhailovych Heiets, Ella Marlenivna Libanova, Oleksandr Ivanovych Amosha, and Tetiana Ivanivna Yefymenko. Also participating in the event was Academician of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Accounting and Finance, Valerii Zhuk.
In his presentation titled "Institutionalization of Accounting and Information Support for Management and State Economic Policy," Valerii Zhuk emphasized the strategic role of accounting science in addressing critical socio-economic challenges. He also highlighted the scientific legacy of Academician Mykola Hryhorovych Chumachenko, underscoring his significant contribution to the development of accounting theory and practice in Ukraine.
The event brought together scholars, practitioners, representatives of government authorities, and the international community to discuss urgent issues related to economic recovery, the transformation of accounting and control systems, and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
