The Institute of Accounting and Finance was founded by a professional public association - the Federation of Auditors, Accountants and Financiers of AIC of Ukraine - in 2008.

The Institute is a part of the scientific coordination of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine (decision of the Presidium, protocol no. 10 of 18 May 2011). It carries out scientific work within the framework of the research programmes of the Department of Agricultural Economics and Food of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine.
