THE CABINET OF MINISTERS OF UKRAINE HAS ALLOCATED GRANTS TO SUPPORT SMALL AGRICULTURAL PRODUCERS: WHO CAN GET HELP

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to provide grant support to small agricultural producers. The corresponding order No. 495-r "On the allocation of funds raised from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the International Development Association to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food" was adopted at a regular meeting. The document was prepared by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

The grants will primarily provide financial support to farmers who own or use up to 120 hectares of land and keep up to 100 cows or 500 breeding stock of goats or sheep.

With additional funds allocated by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, an agricultural producer can receive the following support:

UAH 4,000 per hectare of cultivated land;

UAH 7,000 per cow of all productivity areas;

UAH 2,000 per head of goats or sheep.

Applications for assistance will be accepted through the State Agrarian Register.

The start of the application process will be announced on the website of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy. Registration is expected to start in late June.

In addition, the authorized capital of the Fund for Partial Guarantee of Loans in Agriculture has been increased. This will significantly reduce the risks for banks in lending and encourage banks to cooperate with small and medium-sized agricultural producers.
