MODELLING THE AGRARIAN SYSTEM AND AGRICULTURAL POLICY ON AN INSTITUTIONAL BASIS: SCIENTIFIC DISCUSSION CONTINUES
On 23 April 2025, a meeting of the General Meeting of the Department of Agrarian Economics and Food of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine was held, one of the issues on the agenda of which was a report by the Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Accounting and Finance of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Economics, Professor Valerii Zhuk on the topic ‘Theoretical and applied foundations of modelling the agrarian system and state agricultural policy’.
The report contains the results of 10 years of research, starting with the justification of the Village-Preserving Model of Agrarian System, developed by academician Zhuk V.M. and presented at the General Meeting of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences in 2015 and approved by the Association of Farmers and Private Landowners of Ukraine and the Agrarian Union of Ukraine, and ending with the latest research related to the requirements of European integration, post-war recovery and post-war transformation of the state's agrarian system.
The report provoked a lively discussion and approval of academics and corresponding members of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, which gives grounds to set new scientific tasks and deepen research in this area.
