THE UNIQUE CONTRIBUTION OF THE “SCIENTIFIC CENTER ‘UKRAINIAN WINE INSTITUTE’ NAAN AND ‘UKRVINPROM’ CORPORATION TO THE WORLD HERITAGE OF UKRAINE IN THE FIELD OF WINEMAKING
The Institute of Accounting and Finance sincerely congratulates our colleagues on the unique publication and presentation in the EU and Ukraine of the scientific and production catalog “Ukrainian Wine - Part of the World's Cultural Heritage”, which was published in Ukrainian and English.
The Scientific Center “Ukraine Institute of Wine” of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine and "Ukrvinprom" Corporation have been working on this unique project for many years in cooperation with the best wineries of Ukraine, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine and the relevant Committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The catalog presents the history of domestic winemaking from the times of Kievan Rus to the present; presents soil and hydrothermal conditions for grape and wine production in the wine-growing regions of Ukraine, including Crimea; characterizes the wine-growing regions of Ukraine in terms of production and national and international distribution of their products under well-known trademarks. The catalog highlights the achievements of our colleagues in creating and promoting the national brand “Wine of Ukraine”. It is noteworthy that this catalog has already been presented jointly with the Foundation for the Culture of Wine and Civilizations (“La Cité du Vin”) in 2024 in Bordeaux, France.
At the same time, the catalog reveals the culture of wine consumption by the Ukrainian nation as part of the relevant European culture; it presents the best producers in Ukraine and brands that have received international recognition and have become ambassador wines of Ukraine. Separately, the catalog shows the damage and losses caused by the military aggression of the Russian Federation not only from the material but also from the cultural and heritage side.
The content of the catalog is useful for the top officials of Ukraine, the national diplomatic service, deputies and officials of all levels, persons representing the culture and cultural heritage of Ukraine, winegrowers and winemakers, scientists, teachers and students.
We sincerely congratulate the Department of Agrarian Economics and Food on the success of the Scientific Center “Ukraine Institute of Wine” of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine.
