Round table conference “Professional service and scientific legacy of Professor Lyudmila Shatkovskaya in the development of accounting and auditing”
On February 4, 2026, the outstanding scientist, Professor Liudmila Shatkovska, was honored on the occasion of her glorious 90th anniversary, co-organized by the Department of Accounting and Taxation of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine (NULES), the Federation of Auditors, Accountants and Financiers of the Agroindustrial Complex of Ukraine (FAAF), and the Institute of Accounting and Finance of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
The round table entitled "Professional Service and Scientific Heritage of Professor Liudmila Shatkovska in the Development of Accounting and Auditing" is of great educational and moral significance for all members of the FAAF, the educational and scientific community of the NULES, and other higher educational institutions of Ukraine, since LIudmila Stanislavivna made an invaluable contribution to the development of the national system of auditing, accounting professional education and science.
In an incredibly warm atmosphere, during the round table, the great achievements in the fields of educational and professional activity of LIyudmila Stanislavivna were mentioned. The award and a welcoming speech on behalf of the rector of the NULES of Ukraine, academician of the NAAS, professor Vadym Tkachuk were delivered by the vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical work, academician of the NAAS, professor Serhii Kvasha. Reports were also made by the chairman of the FAAF Council, the chairman of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Accounting and Finance of the NAAS, a graduate and member of the Employers' Council of the Faculty of Economics of the NULES, academician of the NAAS, professor Valerii Zhuk, and the head of the Accounting and Taxation Department Volodymyr Lytvynenko. The speeches and memories of Liudmila Stanislavivna's colleagues - professors Vasyl Savchuk, Leonid Suk and others - were also interesting and warm. On behalf of the International Audit Institute DFK, the anniversary was also congratulated by certified auditor, professor, researcher-expert of the Institute of Accounting and Finance of the NAAS Daria Trachova.
On the occasion of the anniversary, Professor Liudmila Shatkovskaya was awarded the medal "For Professional Merit of the 1st degree" by the Chairman of the FAAF Council, Academician Valerii Zhuk, as a result of which the anniversary became a full cavalier of all possible awards of the FAAF. This title has also been awarded to Hero of Ukraine, Academician of the NAAS Petro Sabluk, Professor Mykola Ogiychuk, Professor Oleksandr Petruk and outstanding figures who unfortunately have died - Academician of the NAAS Mykola Demyanenko and Academician of the NAAS, former First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy Yurii Luzan.
