International Accounting Day is celebrated every year on 10 November in honour of professionals who ensure financial transparency, accuracy and stability in business and the economy. The holiday appeared in the early 70s of the XX century, and its date is symbolically linked to the day when Luca Pacioli, an Italian mathematician and the ‘father of accounting’, published his work Summa de Arithmetica, Geometria, Proportioni et Proportionalita in 1494, which became the basis for double-entry bookkeeping. This holiday is a great opportunity to express our gratitude to accountants for their hard work, accuracy and responsibility.
