ENRICHING OUR KNOWLEDGE OF UKRAINIAN HISTORY AND CULTURE. MEETING OUTSTANDING FIGURES OF THE PRESENT DAY
On September 26, 2025, the team of the Institute of Accounting and Finance of the NAAS, within the presentation of the book “General Kuk. Biography of a Generation of the UPA,” had the honour to meet the renowned Ukrainian historian, publicist, politician, public figure, Member of Parliament, and Candidate of Historical Sciences Volodymyr VIATROVYCH.
During the one-hour presentation, the author introduced a 940-page book published by the Kharkiv-based publishing house Vivat, which is based on materials from his personal conversations with the main protagonist, many years of research and archival work, as well as documents from the personal archive of the last commander of the UPA, Vasyl Kuk, about his desperate struggle under occupation and his resistance to both the Nazis and the Soviets.
We thank Volodymyr Mykhailovych Viatrovych for the fascinating meeting and the personally signed copies of the book for our Institute!
And already on September 28, 2025, we attended a discussion-presentation with the well-known journalist, historian, producer, and author of documentary-historical projects Akim HALIMOV, dedicated to the restoration of Ukraine’s historical and cultural heritage.
